Best Home EV Chargers for Tesla
A Level 2 charger runs on a 240-volt circuit and charges much faster than a regular household outlet. Teslas sold in North America use the NACS (Tesla) charge port, so a charger with a NACS connector plugs straight in. A charger with a J1772 connector needs a J1772-to-Tesla adapter.
Safety: Have a licensed electrician install a Level 2 charger or a new 240-volt outlet. Your city or county may require a permit and an inspection.
How this list was made: on Nov 4, 2026 we searched YouTube for recent Tesla home charging videos (published since Jan 2025), kept only channels that list the United States or Canada as their country and are not stores, brands, installers or product-list channels, and counted how many different creators name each charger in their video title or description. We did not count repair or troubleshooting videos. Counts are small further down the list, so treat close ranks as ties. Some creators received free products or were sponsored; that is their disclosure to make. How we rank.
